Government Shutdown and the SBAOctober 1, 2013
The SBA has published a plan in advance of the government shutdown that went into effect on Oct. 1. According to the SBA website, this “Plan for Operating in the Event of a Lapse in Appropriations” will provide guidance for the agency in case of such an event. The procedures are for (1) continuing only those excepted functions under various justifications; and (2) initiating orderly shutdown of those activities not considered exempt or excepted.
